  • One 12AX7 tube per channel for RIAA filter and input boost.
  • One 12AU7 tube, single section, for post RIAA boost.
  • Hum and Noise: approximately 85db down, depending on tubes and other parameters like cable configuration, power supply placement, etc.

Line Section:

  • One 5687 tube per channel –choke loaded with Coffman Labs custom choke.
  • Approximately 24 dB maximum possible gain, input volume control padded

  • Hum and Noise: not audible at full gain if setup properly.

Power Supply:

Frequency & Distortion Response: (approximate—will vary with tubes)

  • Line Section:
    • Flat 20Hz to 40KHz
    • -1 dB at 10Hz and 100Khz
    • 2nd Harmonic = -40dB at +10 dBu output (2.8V RMS)
    • 2nd Harmonic = –45dB at +4 dBu output (1.23V RMS)
    • 2nd Harmonic un-measurable at -8 dBu output which is greater than typical maximum required to drive power amplifier to maximum volume. (Note this allows you to tune the listening experience by selecting the #1 or #2 main output—the #2 output will give you a slightly warmer sound.)
  • Bass Boost: Bass volume set to maximum for all specifications below.
    Frequency selected at three points: Minimum, Center, and Maximum
    Note that most of the sensitivity for frequency is in lower half of potentiometer range, where most of your tuning for speakers will be(15Hz to 25Hz).
